Basic Information:

Ignacio took part in the Battle of Guadalajara in 1860 and he also took part in the battle of Calpulalpan. He was under the command of Benito Juarez the battle in that he took part in Calpulalpan put an end to the war. Ignacio is also very well known for contributing in the Battle of Puebla this battle took the whole day the battle was between the Mexican army and the French. The French were eventually defeated and they were forced to retreated.

Personal Life:

Ignacios parents got married when they were 19 and 17 years old his father Maguel Zaragoza and his mother Maria de Jesus Sequin they got married in San Antonio Texas. Ignacio was born on March 24,1829 in Goilad.


Ignacio was on track to becoming a priest he was currently attending priesthood school when he then made his decisoin to join and take part in the Mexican Civil War

Contribution to Society:

Thanks to Ignacio and his victory in the Battle of Puebla Mexico was determined to fight for their freedom .

Why I chose:

Ignacio had a lot to do with the current mexico that exist now because he gave Mexicans the spark and confidence to fight for their independence.
